Transportation Conference Set in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - The 2013 Governor's Transportation Conference is set for next week in Richmond.

The three-day meeting of government and industry officials begins Dec. 4. Gov. Bob McDonnell says the theme is "Road to the Future."

The conference will feature sessions on safety and innovation, changing attitudes toward vehicle ownership and how they affect transportation policy, moving goods and people, developments in DMV service, public-private partnerships and other topics.
