WINCHESTER, Va. (AP) - Virginia State Police say a tractor-trailer driver has died in a weather-related wreck in Frederick County.

State police spokeswoman Corinne Geller says 58-year-old Michael K. Goodwin of Jacksonville, Fla., lost control of the tractor-trailer on Interstate 81. The truck jackknifed, ran off the highway and the cab hit a tree on the driver's side.

The accident occurred Tuesday morning. Goodwin died later Tuesday at Winchester Medical Center.

Geller says road conditions and speed were factors in the accident.

A National Weather Service online map shows the Winchester area received about 2 inches of snow Tuesday.

Geller says state police responded to 366 weather-related wrecks across Virginia on Tuesday. There were no injuries in a majority of the crashes.
