VDOT Readying Roads for Holiday Weekend

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is smoothing the way for one of the busiest travel weekends of the year.

VDOT will be suspending most road work and lifting lane closures on interstates from noon Friday until noon Tuesday, September 3rd.

Officials hope to eliminate potential bottlenecks during the heavily traveled holiday.
