VDOT Opens 24-hour Customer Service Center

November 1, 2010

The Virginia Department of Transportation wants people to know that a new statewide customer service center near Salem is up and running.

"The Roanoke Times" reports that VDOT planned to launch a $1.5 million campaign Monday to advertise the center's toll-free number, 800-367-7623.

The center is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and receives maintenance requests, reports of road obstructions such as potholes and dead animals and other business handled by VDOT.
