The Virginia Department of Transportation is planning to host informational meetings about its study of the Interstate 64 corridor from I-95 in Richmond to I-664 in Hampton.
The study is intended to identify transportation needs within the 75-mile corridor. A meeting will be held in Newport News Wednesday night and in New Kent Thursday night.
An Environmental Impact Statement is being prepared as part of the study, which is scheduled for completion in early 2014.
The public meetings are intended to give residents an opportunity to provide input about the scope of issues the study will address.
Additional information on the project can be viewed on VDOT's Website.
