Virginia Military Institute is reviewing its procedures after seniors' grade point averages were inadvertently released to the entire class.
VMI spokesman Stewart MacInnis tells the Roanoke Times (http://bit.ly/J9JqFlroa) that the administration sent an email with a spreadsheet listing the seniors' names and hometowns to the senior class president last week. By mistake, another spreadsheet listing the students' grade point averages also was attached to the email.
MacInnis says the senior class president didn't realize the email had two spreadsheets and forwarded it to all 258 members of the class so they could check their information.
He says the school regrets the error.
