Va. Fire Kills 1,500 Chickens

SUFFOLK, Va. (AP) - The Virginia Fire Marshal's Office is looking into the cause of a fire that killed 1,500 chickens on a Suffolk poultry farm.

City spokeswoman Diana Klink tells media outlets the fire broke out Friday morning in the back of one of three structures that house more than 21,000 chickens apiece.

Crews put out the fire, whose cause is undetermined.
