Two Newport News teenagers are accused of killing 30 exotic fish during a burglary.
Newport News police spokesman Lou Thurston tells WAVY-TV (http://bit.ly/HXVUPC) that the teens poured chemicals into an aquarium containing the fish during the March 30 burglary.
The teenagers also destroyed other items in the house. They are accused of doing similar damage during a burglary at another home in the same neighborhood.
Thurston says the 15-year-old and 17-year-old suspects are charged with 30 counts of killing fish, two counts of burglary, two counts of grand larceny, two counts of felony destruction of property and six counts of conspiracy to commit a felony.
