A Bedford woman has been charged after a weekend traffic crash killed two people.
Media outlets report 28-year-old Amy Phillips was charged with driving under the influence and two counts of DUI involuntary manslaughter.
Lynchburg police say Phillips was driving an SUV that struck a car on Saturday in Lynchburg. Two occupants of the car, 26-year-old John Hawkins of Lynchburg and 26-year-old Garry Moore of Spout Springs, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Phillips is being held in the Blue Ridge Regional Jail without bond.
