Virginia Police Seek Help with 2005 Murder

December 20, 2010

Virginia authorities are asking for the public's help with a murder case that's gone unsolved for five years.

Culpeper Commonwealth's Attorney Gary Close and Sheriff Jim
Branch say anyone with information about the death of Reva resident Sherri Warner should contact them. The 37-year-old was found shot in the head and hanging by an electric cord in the basement of her burning home Dec. 18, 2005.

A Virginia man now on death row for two other murders was indicted in Warner's death in 2006, but the prosecution was suspended due to DNA evidence and other information.
