November 23, 2010

Staff at the Virginia Zoo are mourning the loss of another Siberian tiger to cancer.

The Norfolk zoo says Shaka Khan died Friday of bone cancer. Her sister, Shere Khan, died of cancer in May.

The tigers lived at the zoo for 18 years.

Animal curator Louise Hill told The Virginian-Pilot that the tigers were a popular attraction. She says the staff will miss them.
