NORFOLK, Va. (AP) - Visitors to the Virginia Zoo can now see up close what wallabies look like.
One male and four female Bennett's wallabies spent a month in quarantine after arriving at the Norfolk zoo from New Zealand in late February. This week they joined kangaroos and emus in the zoo's Australia exhibit.
The exhibition will be transitioned to a walk-through habitat for visitors later this year.
Wallabies are a smaller member of the kangaroo family.
