Wintergreen Ski Resort is up for sale.
Jones Lang LaSalle is offering the Nelson County property, advertising that a "purchaser of Wintergreen will enjoy an operating resort generating significant cash flow as well as the opportunity to further enhance returns with the development of hospitality and additional residential components."
The property contains 129 acres of skiable terrain, 26 trails, 7 lifts,a state-of-the-art snowmaking system and a summit elevation of 3,515 feet
The resort also features two golf courses, over a dozen tennis courts, Aquatics & Fitness Center, Lake Monocan, a 900ft zip line and several dining areas.
The total resort real estate encompasses 11,000 acres.
Wintergreen was purchased less than two years ago by West Virginia billionaire Jim Justice for a reported $16.5 million.
Since taking over the resort, Justice has invested millions of dollars in upgrades.
A spokesperson for Wintergreen Resort says they are not in a position to comment at this point.
