A state agency is investigating the death of a worker who was killed after he touched a power line in New Hope.
Augusta County Sheriff Randy Fisher tells The News Leader that the man was clearing tree limbs from a bucket truck when the accident occurred Thursday.
The victim wasn't identified. He was an employee of Asplundh Tree Expert Co, which clears limbs from power lines for Dominion Virginia Power.
Dominion spokeswoman Daisy Pridgen says the Virginia Department of Labor and Industry is investigating the accident.
Officials at Asplundh in Roanoke declined to comment.
