Congressman Eric Cantor (R-7th) will not have a free ride to re-election this year, but he is still an overwhelming favorite.
Cantor, the House Majority Leader, has a new opponent for his seat in the House of Representatives. Democrat David Hunsicker, a Vietnam War combat pilot from the Lake of the Woods community in Locust Grove, has entered the race.
The 7th District stretches from the west end of Richmond and its suburbs in Henrico and portions of Chesterfield Counties, through Montpelier, Culpeper, Orange and Louisa counties and northward to Page and Rappahannock Counties.
Hunsicker, a resident of Orange County, has been in the real estate business since retiring from the armed forces. He says the district has been short-changed because Cantor is busy enhancing his national reputation.

His campaign has been established and well received throughout all of the 7th Congressional District for many months now. Your readers deserve fair and balanced reporting.
Progressive Democrat Wayne Powell is running in this race against Eric Cantor, too. He announced this months ago. www.PowellforVA.com
