TRAFFIC ALERT: Charlottesville 10 Miler Road Closures
The 36th running of the Charlottesville Ten Miler to benefit Camp Holiday Trails will be on Saturday. Numerous City roads will be closed or have limited access starting at 7am.

The 36th running of the Charlottesville Ten Miler to benefit Camp Holiday Trails will be on Saturday.
The race starts at University Hall and ends on Emmett Street underneath the foot bridge. It goes through the University and surrounding neighborhoods, downtown and its surrounding neighborhoods and back to the University. (Map of Race Course)
The following roads will be closed or have limited access starting at 7am:
Emmett Street from Massie Rd. to McCormick Rd.
Massie Road at University Hall
Copeley Rd
Alderman Rd
Stadium Rd
McCormick Road
Rugby Rd
Grady Ave
Preston Ave
7th St
East Jefferson St
2nd St NE
Northwood Ave
Evergreen Ave
Lexington Ave
Maple St
7th St
Water St
Main St
University Ave
McCormick Rd. and Alderman Rd.
Traffic on cross streets will be stopped until the runners have passed or there is a gap in the runners to allow cars to cross. City and University police officers will join with 400 race volunteers to monitor the intersections.

Hey Tex, It was for four hours. Get over yourself.
Why not block all enterances to the city, shut it all down, say until monday morning It would save a lot of gas wasted in idling cars and wasted time for users of city streets. Or find these people a isolated place where they could pant, gasp, and stumble away the whole weekend without blocking nopmal useage of public streets.
