Louisa County High School students got a chance to see their new school Tuesday for the first time since the August earthquake.
Middle and high school students have been sharing the Louisa County Middle School building for the past couple of months. Students have also been on alternating schedules.
Students, teachers, and parents toured the halls and visited the new classrooms. The modular units are set up across from the original high school building, which is off limits because of damage done to the building.
Classes start in the modular units on Wednesday.
"Today is only the end of one chapter to our road to recovery. There are many chapters to write before this book of recovery of Louisa County Public Schools is complete," said Greg Strickland, Chair of the Louisa County School Board.
Students say they are excited to start their classes in the modular school.
"I'm happy that we were able to get this together so quickly," said senior Ralph Rector.
Officials are still trying to determine how the new school impacted tax payers. Supervisor Dan Byers tells CBS19 they are "trying to look at how can we move forward in the most economic and professional manner as possible."
The modular unit high school will be set up until at least 2015.
