Martha Jefferson Hospital is a private, not-for-profit, 176-licensed bed acute care hospital located in Charlottesville, VA. The hospital was founded in 1903 by seven physicians in response to the need for a community hospital in Charlottesville, and today offers a full spectrum of primary and secondary care, with significant admissions in Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Oncology and Surgery.

We moved from our facility on Locust Avenue to our new hospital on Pantops Mountain on August 28, 2011. This move brings our already advanced medical care to a new level, while sustaining the Caring Tradition that has always been the backbone of Martha Jefferson.
