Cavaliers Earn Program's First ACC Regular Season Championship

No. 9 Virginia earned a share of its first ACC women’s tennis regular-season title despite its 5-2 loss at No. 15 Miami Sunday.

The Cavaliers, whose nine-match ACC winning streak ended with the loss, finish 12-2 in the ACC and share their first league title with No. 7 North Carolina, No. 17 Clemson and Miami.

Sophomores Maci Epstein and Danielle Collins earned singles victories for the Cavaliers.

Virginia returns to action at the ACC Tournament, held April 23-27 at the Cary Tennis Center in Cary, N.C. The Cavaliers will play a quarterfinal match on Friday (April 25).
