Virginia's road to the ACC title game in baseball begins Thursday morning in Greensboro.
After an off day on Wednesday, the Cavaliers open ACC Tournament play at 11 a.m. Thursday against Maryland. That's followed by a pair of 7 p.m. games on Friday -- against the winner of Tuesday's play-in game between North Carolina and NC State -- and Saturday against Florida State.
UVa earned the No. 3 seed in this year's tournament after finishing the regular season in second place in the league's Coastal Division. The Wahoos are joined in Pool B by No. 2 seed FSU, the Atlantic Division champion, and the No. 6-seeded Terrapins. UNC and NC State meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday to determine the fourth team in the pool.
UVa took two of three against both the Seminoles (in Tallahassee) and the Tar Heels (at home) during the regular season. The Cavaliers didn't play Maryland or NC State.
