Cockerton Earns All-ACC Honors

Mark Cockerton was named to the men’s lacrosse All-ACC squad Wednesday. The team is determined by a vote of the league’s six head coaches. It's the second straight season Cockerton has been named to the team.

Cockerton is No. 4 in the nation with 41 goals and No. 9 in the nation with 53 points. The senior has 21 career hat tricks, eight of which have come this season. He scored a career-high seven goals at Mount St. Mary’s on Feb. 25.

Earlier this season Cockerton became the 15th Cavalier to amass at least 100 career goals. With 119 career goals entering this weekend, Cockerton is tied for No. 9 all-time at UVa in career goals.
