Franklin, Cavs Stun Hokies with Big Comeback

Virginia's 15th consecutive win over Virginia Tech may also be its most memorable.

The Cavaliers trailed the Hokies by as much as 17 in the first half but rallied to pull out the 67-60 win in Blacksburg.

The Hoos improved to 8-7 overall and picked up their first ACC win in the process.

Virginia Tech led 20-3 after a Monet Tellier jumper with seven minutes gone in the first half, signaling the largest deficit of the night for Virginia.

The Cavaliers whittled away at the lead and trailed by just 10 at the break.

They continued to chip away in the second half, thanks to 19 of senior Ataira Franklin's team-high 23 points.

A Franklin layup tied the game at 58 with just under four minutes to go, and the Hoos used a 9-2 run over the final minutes to escape with the win.

Virginia is back in action Sunday when it hosts No. 2 Notre Dame.
