That didn't take long.
Scott Silverstein made one start for the Bluefield Blue Jays before being promoted to the Vancouver Canadians last night.
The lefty is making the jump from Rookie League ball to short-season Class A after allowing just one run in six innings Monday in his lone appearance in a Bluefield uniform.
Silverstein was a 25th Round pick of Toronto in the Major League Baseball Draft earlier this month.
Silverstein was 10-2 in his redshirt senior season at Virginia, finishing with a 3.15 ERA.
