Thursday's Game at Wake Rained Out

No. 1 Virginia's game Thursday night at Wake Forest has been rained out, and pushed to Friday.

Thursday's game was supposed to be the opener of the teams' final three-game ACC series of the regular season. They will now play a double-header on Friday in Winston-Salem, set to begin at 2 p.m.

Senior right-hander Artie Lewicki was scheduled to make his first start against an ACC opponent since the 2012 season in Thursday's opener. He will now start one of Friday's games. Friday's scheduled starter, sophomore lefty Nathan Kirby, will start the other for UVa.

The Cavaliers began Thursday a game behind Miami for first place in the ACC 's Coastal Division, with three to play. The Hurricanes are hosting North Carolina to end the regular season. Those two teams will also play a Friday doubleheader after getting rained out on Thursday.
