Mark Cockerton, Scott McWilliams and Nick O’Reilly were named to the men’s lacrosse All-ACC squad, as announced by the league office on Wednesday. The team is determined by a vote of the league’s four head coaches. The accolades are the first career honors for the trio.
Cockerton leads the nation with 42 goals and a 3.5 goals per game average. He leads UVa with 10 multiple goal-scoring games and seven hat tricks.
McWilliams is No. 2 in the nation with 35 caused turnovers and has picked up 46 ground balls on the season. McWilliams is the first defensemen from UVa to be named to the All-ACC team since Ken Clausen in 2010.
O’Reilly leads UVa with 29 assists and 49 points. He is No. 12 in the nation and No. 2 in the ACC with 2.23 assists per game.
