Once again, postseason college baseball is coming to Davenport Field.
Virginia was selected as one of the 16 Regional hosts Sunday evening by the NCAA. Its the fifth straight season the 'Hoos will host and the eighth time in the last 11 years.
The four-team, double-elimination tournament will run May 30-June 2. Two games each will be played Friday (May 30), Saturday (May 31) and Sunday (June 1). If necessary, a single game will be played Monday (June 2). Regional game times will be announced Monday.
The remaining at-large teams, top-eight national seeds, first-round regional pairings, site assignments and game times will be announced at noon Monday. The selection committee will set the entire 64-team bracket through both the regionals and the first round of the Men's College World Series. Selection of the eight super regional hosts will be announced Monday, June 2 at approximately 11 p.m. following the conclusion of the regional round.
