Virginia junior soccer player Morgan Brian is now one of just two active college players on the roster of the United States Women's National Team.
Brian was part of the 23-player training camp roster announced this week by coach Tom Sermanni for a pair of friendlies coming up later this month against South Korea. The US will dress 18 players for each of those matches.
North Carolina's Crystal Dunn is the only other college player on the US roster. The team also includes Virginia defender Becky Sauerbrunn.
Brian finished her sophomore season in 2012 with four goals and seven assists, despite missing nine games while playing for the US team that won the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Japan. The midfielder was also named MVP of last year's ACC Tournament, after putting up three goals and three assists in leading Virginia to the league championship.
