UVa's Mitchell Participates in the LeBron James Skills Academy

Less than two weeks after taking part in the Nike Big Man Skills Academy, Virginia senior Akil Mitchell was back on the court -- this time at the LeBron James Skills Academy in Las Vegas.

The annual camp wrapped up on Monday and featured 20 of the top college players in the country, as well as the nation’s top 80 high school players. The academy is hosted each year by four-time NBA MVP LeBron James, and aims to help participants develop skills while competing in front of NBA scouts and media members.

Mitchell was one of three ACC players at the event, along with Boston College's Olivier Hanlan and KJ McDaniels of Clemson.

During his junior season at UVa, Mitchell averaged 13.1 ppg and 8.9 rpg, earning third-team All-ACC honors.
