Albemarle senior midfielder Connor Carson plans to play her college lacrosse at Old Dominion, according to her father.
"Connor wanted to stay in state and felt the school and coach were a great fit for her," Tim Carson explained in an email.
Carson has re-written the Patriots' record book through her first three high school seasons. Her 170 career goals are the most in school history, and as a junior she set Albemarle single-season records with 83 goals and 131 draw controls.
Carson was named an US Lacrosse first-team All-American after last season. She was also named district and region player of the year, and was selected first-team all-state.
