Former Monticello football star Mike Brown is getting a shot at the NFL with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Brown, a fifth-year senior quarterback at Liberty, went unselected in last weekend's NFL Draft. But according to a Liberty spokesperson, Brown has been invited to Jacksonville this weekend for the Jaguars' rookie camp. The invitation is on a try-out basis, as Brown was not among the 17 undrafted free agents signed to a contract by the Jaguars.
Brown started 10 games for the Flames in 2011, throwing for 2,664 yards and 18 touchdowns. He completed 65.6 percent of his passes.
