2008 was a year that the Charlottesville football team would like to forget, going 1-9 in Chris Fraser's first season as the head coach of the Knights. Last season saw big improvements as the team rallied to a 4-6 mark, capped off by an upset win over Orange in the final game of the regular season. 2010 sees the Knights looking for even more improvements, but will look to young players to make that happen.

Charlottesville enters the season with just five seniors on its roster and looking to a younger group to get the job done. One of those you players is sophomore quarterback Benj Wilhelm, who started under center as a freshman. Wilhelm has spent the entire summer in the weight room getting stronger and doing conditioning and hopes to have a breakout sophomore campaign.

The players are motivated entering the season and Chris Fraser understands that he's building for the future. Fraser and players on the team are also quick to point out that the team has rid itself of problems on the team and that everybody on the 2010 Black Knights is motivated and possesses great sportsmanship.

The Knights kickoff their season on September 3 when R.E. Lee comes over the mountain to visit Charlottesville. Click on the above video link to view the preview of the 2010 Charlottesville Black Knights.
