After back-to-back tough road games Charlottesville returned home Friday seeking their first win of the young season. Visiting Culpeper (0-3) was no match for the Black Knights (1-3), who got in the win column with a 47-28 victory.
Charlottesville rolled to a 40-7 lead midway through the 3rd quarter thanks in large part to the stellar play of quarterback Rashard Davis. The senior signal-caller finished the game 5/8 passing for 122 yards and 2 scores. He added another 195 yards and 4 touchdowns on just 9 carries.
Following the big win, 2nd year head coach Eric Sherry stopped by the Friday Night Endzone studio to reflect on the victory and discuss next week's big matchup with visiting Liberty-Bealeton.
