Redd Brings New Energy to Fluco Football

August 19, 2009

After a 3-7 season in 2008, the Fluvanna football team is looking for a turnaround. The Flucos hope that new head coach Rodney Redd is the answer and has what they're looking for.

Redd takes over for the departed Joel Gray at the head of the Fluvanna program. Redd comes to the Flucos after serving as a defensive assistant for Brud Bicknell at Monticello. Redd brings energy and enthusiasm to the Fluvanna program, which seems to be becoming contagious with his players.

The Flucos return a good core group from the 2008 team. Quarterback Ryan Foster returns for his senior season and leads an experienced offense.

Fluvanna opens up its 2009 schedule on August 28 at Prince Edward. Click on the above video link to view Matt Parsons' complete preview of the 2009 Fluvanna Flucos.
