Madison County football had a successful 8-2 campaign in 2008. That record should be good enough for just about any team to make the post-season. Unfortunately for Madison it was not the case.

Even after winning their final game last season. Coach Stuart Dean had to announce to his team that they were .05 points short of the post season. This year the mountaineers are trying to avoid any margins and leave no doubt as to reaching the post season.

It all starts with leadership for the 2009 Madison football team, and Logan Terrell is the one to follow. The four year starter on both offense and defense will look for another successful campaign and hopes to anchor his teams confidence as they make a run at the post-season.

The Mountaineers hit the field on Friday September 4th, as they host Fluvanna to kick off the regular season.
