The Albemarle Patriots (0-1) didn't get their 2009 season off the way they had hoped. A 38-7 loss at the hands of Monticello on the Mustangs new turf field. It also marked the first game of Wendell Green as head coach for the Pats.
This week marks another tough task for Green. The Patriots host Ed Pierce and his Western Albemarle Warriors in the home opener on Friday.
The Warriors (2-0) have outscored their opponents 72-9 so far this season and look to continue the hot streak against the Pats on Friday.
