Fifteen carries, that’s all it took for Buckingham’s uncanny 1-2 punch to put the game out of reach. For the sixth straight game, and on homecoming night, the Knights running backs came to do work with Kenneth Johnson and Kyree Koonce combining for 292 yards and four touchdowns to pave the way to a 48-0 win over Randolph Henry.

Johnson needed just seven attempts to pile up 167 yards and two touchdowns while Koonce took his eight carries for 125 yards and two scores as well. Johnson also had a 57-yard punt return. The running back duo now has an amazing 1,624 yards and 34 TDs combined with four more games to add to their total in the regular season.

With Cam Johnson, the homecoming king and regular starter at quarterback out with an injury, John Edwards stood in at quarterback to complete five of his six passes for 59 yards.

Defensively, Buckingham saw Tariq Bartee lead the way with 10.5 tackles and two forced fumbles.

For the fourth straight week the Knights scored at least 40 points with the season low sitting at 34 in the season opener.
