After leading the Fluco's to three wins in 2010, Fluvanna's interim head coach Jason Barnett has worked his way to be a permanent fixture on the sidelines for Fluco football.

During a pep rally at Fluvanna County High School on Friday afternoon, athletic director Scott Morris announced that Barnett would have the interim tag removed from his title and he would be at the school to stay.

In early June, a big shake-up at the top of Fluvanna Fluco's football left them without a head coach. After leading the Fluco's to a 3-7 record in 2009, Rodney Redd appeared to have the football program headed in the right direction but suddenly left the school system at Fluvanna.

Barnett took up the head coaching job on an interim basis on June 21st and has led the Flucos to a 3-5 record thus far.
