Mosley's JMU Commitment Still Strong

Jhalil Mosley's verbal commitment to play football at James Madison is still solid, despite the Dukes' coaching shakeup last week.

JMU head coach Mickey Matthews announced the dismissals of offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Jeff Durden and offensive line coach Chris Malone last Friday. JMU coaches visited with Mosley at Monticello High School on Tuesday, according to Mustangs head coach Rodney Redd.

Durden's dismissal hasn't changed anything for Mosley, Redd said via text message Tuesday night.

The Dukes were the first program to offer Mosley a scholarship, and he committed to JMU last July. Mosley threw for 1,243 yards and 16 touchdowns, and ran for 688 yards and eight scores as a senior at Monticello this season.
