Stuart Dean's Madison County Mountaineers were red hot for most of their 2009 campaign. The team rolled to a 9-0 start, but then went on to lose their regular season finale and fall in the Region "B" semi-finals to Alta Vista.
A 9-2 record will be what the Mountaineers have to improve upon. However, they have to move forward without one of their best assets. Tail back Logan Terrell has gone on to graduate, and coach Dean must find the way to fill the void.
