(MaxPreps) - The Nelson County Governors football team was beaten 14-0 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Buckingham Knights.
The Knights (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Prince Edward County. The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Prince Edward County was beaten by Cumberland, 39-16, in a non-league challenge.
The Governors now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Riverheads for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 11. Nelson County will meet a Gladiators team coming off a 27-10 non-league loss to Stuarts Draft. The Gladiators record now stands at 0-1.
