Fork Union head coach Mickey Sullivan will be the first to say that his team did not handle adversity very well last year. After a 5-1 start, the team finished 4-6. How is this possible? A player was found to be too old to play on the prep team, forcing Fork Union to forfeit two games. After that incident, several players on the team say the morale changed.
2009 is a very different story. The Blue Devils bring a new attitude to the practice field for preseason camp, and have their eyes on big things. The Devils return a big experienced offensive line that leads the charge into the campaign. Center Russell Bodine and tackle Mark Shuman are two of the more experienced players on the line. There are also three potential starting quarterbacks that has Sullivan excited.
