Austin Stone became the third Fork Union player to commit with a Division I program Thursday when the senior receiver agreed to join Eastern Michigan.
He joins Christian Hackenberg (Penn State) and Malcolm Cook (Virginia) as Blue Devils who have made their decisions known in recent months.
Stone played in three games in 2011 and caught 18 passes for 195 yards. He chose the Eagles over other offers from VMI, Richmond and Ohio.
"They're turning around the program right now and I felt like me going there could help turn it around even more and we can become better as a team," Stone explained.
Stone says EMU coach Ron English and his staff noticed Stone in camps at Ohio State and Pittsburgh.
"It's always been my dream to play D-1 football and it's going to come true. My number one goal growing up was to never let my parents pay for college. So that's what I've been doing, just been grinding and playing football," he added.
