The Cavalier Football Team will welcome the Pittsburgh Panthers to Scott Stadium on Saturday, and look to avenge last season's 38-13 loss at Heinz Field. Pitt enters the game at 2-2, losers of its previous two contests.
Virginia boasts a solid record at home, winning nine of its last ten non-conference home games, and is 31-9 at Scott Stadium under Al Groh. Pittsburgh holds a 3-1 series advantage, including last season's opening game win.
The Cavaliers enter Saturday's contest with a 3-1 record, and have lost their only non-conference match up of the season. Virginia fell at Wyoming to open the schedule, 23-3. Since then, the Wahoos have rebounded to win three straight games, and sit atop the ACC Coastal Division with a conference record of 3-0.
Virginia ventures out of the ACC for its next three games. After Saturday against Pitt, the Cavs travel to Middle Tennessee State, before returning home to take on Connecticut. Their next ACC contest will be October 20 at Maryland.
The Cavaliers and Panthers kick things off at 7:00pm on Saturday night.
