The Cavalier women's soccer team improved to 4-0-1 on the season on Friday after an 8-0 rout of Richmond.

The Cavs got on the board early as Meghan Lenczyk netted Virginia's first goal in just the eighth minute of play. Sinead Farrelly netted the next two goals for the Cavaliers before Katie Carr wrapped up the first half scoring for the Cavaliers.

Already with a 4-0 lead for Virginia at the break, the Cavaliers would score four more in the second half to seal the victory. The Cavs dominated elsewhere also, out-shooting the Spiders 27-2 and hold an 8-4 advantage on corner kicks.

Virginia is back in action next Friday as they host Texas at 7 p.m. as part of the Virginia Nike Soccer Classic and Klockner Stadium,
