The Virginia football team (6-1) is ranked No. 19 in this week's Bowl Championship Series Poll. This is the first time since 2004 the Cavaliers have appeared in the BCS rankings.
The Cavs are also ranked No. 24 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
Virginia has won six consecutive games, the sixth-longest winning streak in the country. The Cavaliers are 6-1 overall this season and in first place in the ACC Coastal Division with a 3-0 league record.
The Cavaliers’ game at Maryland this Saturday (Oct. 20) is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. and will be televised by ESPN2.
