Cavalier Defensive End Chris Long is a semifinalist for the Vince Lombardi Award, presented to the nation's top lineman, offensive or defensive.
Long leads the ACC and is fifth nationally with eight sacks. He is also second in the country among linemen with six passes defended. Long is averaging 5.7 tackles per game, and has one interception on the season.
The winner of the Vince Lombardi Award will be announced on December 5th in Houston, Texas.
