Cavalier guard Sean Singletary is up for two of the highest honors that college basketball has to offer. The senior is on the 50 player John R. Wooden Award Watch List, and is also a candidate for the Naismith Trophy, which also has a watch list of 50 players. Both honors go to the top player in college basketball.
Singletary finished 2006-2007 averaging 19.0 points per game to go along with his 4.7 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game. He was on the All-ACC First Team for the second consecutive season, and was selected to several All-American teams.
Singletary and the Cavaliers will tip off their season on November eleventh against Vermont at John Paul Jones Arena.
