Virginia travels to Raleigh tomorrow to battle NC State, a team that has struggled during the season, but appears to be on the rise. Following its bye week, the Wolfpack stormed out of the gate to take a 21-0 lead in the first quarter last weekend against East Carolina, en route to a 34-20 win.
Offensively, NC State looks to junior Daniel Evans at quarterback to lead the charge. Evans took over the starting roll against Florida State on October 6, and made great strides between then and last week's victory. Evans threw for a career high 335 yards and three touchdowns, leading the Wolfpack to its second win of the season.
On the defensive side of the ball, NC State put up six sacks and an interception last weekend. The unit is one that puts an emphasis on backfield pressure.
Darrell Blackman is the man to watch out for on special teams. Al Groh refers to Blackman as one of the best kick returners in ACC history. The Wolfpack come in looking for its first ACC victory of the year, and will look to grab it on its home field.
Kickoff for tomorrow's game is set for 4:30 at Carter Finley Stadium. Click on the above video link for more on the Wolfpack.
