Western Albemarle remained only one game behind Monticello in the Jefferson District, as the Warriors handed Charlottesville its third straight loss, 34-16. The Black Knights will have a bye this Friday, while Western will travel to Orange.

Takeem Hedgeman rushed for 151 yards and three touchdowns, all in the first half, as Monticello blanked Fluvanna, 62-0. The Mustangs set two school records for most points scored in a game and largest margin of victory. They will host William Monroe on Friday, while the Flucos head to Louisa.

Dominic Walker rushed for a touchdown as Orange topped Louisa, 21-14. The Lions fall to 1-3 in the Jefferson District, while the Hornets improve to 3-1. Louisa hosts Fluvanna next week, while Orange welcomes Western Albemarle.

After snapping its 23 game losing streak last Friday, William Monroe is getting used to winning. The Green Dragons grabbed their second consecutive victory with a 27-12 win over Massanutten. Troy Legg had 107 yards passing in the win. The Dragons travel to Monticello on Friday.

Albemarle traveled to Brooke Point tonight and fell to the Commonwealth District-leading Black Hawks, 39-10. Jordan Hill returned a kickoff 90 yards in the losing cause. The Patriots head to Stafford on Friday.

Despite trailing 21-10 after three quarters, Covenant exploded for the 27-21 victory over Trinity Episcopal. The Eagles head to Hargrave this Friday afternoon.
