Cavalier defensive end Chris Long has been named this week's ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week. It is the second time in three weeks the senior is receiving the honor.
Long made his prescence known in Virginia's 17-16 win over Wake Forest on Saturday. He tied a career high with ten tackles, including two for loss. He also came up with a key fourth quarter sack late in the game.
The senior captain ranks fifth in the nation in sacks with 1.20 per game, and also ranks second among defensive lineman with eight passes defended. Long and the Cavaliers travel to Miami for their final home game on Saturday.
